-We had a great time hosting the Makeshift label showcase last Saturday, August 11- thanks to all the bands and especially J.D. Reager for helping coordinate the event. A great afternoon of music from Brad Postlethwaite, Blair Combest, J.D. Reager and Dragoon. Buy the Makeshift 5 cd - profits go to the very-worthy Church Health Center.
We also had the pleasure of hosting a top-secret (well, not that secret) show Monday, August 13 from Austin, Texas' whiskey-swillin' Golden Boys. These trombone-totin' hellions might just be the best band on the planet right now, and it was great to see them in the confines of our humble store. Openers TSOT cranked up some high volume banjitar racket as well.

-Gonerfest 4 is looming large at the end of September and we're running around like crazy trying to make sure everything is taken care of. Yes, there are really 35 bands coming from 3 Continents- Australia has a strong contingent coming this year. Do you know what happens when you get a bunch of Australians running around in Memphis?
