MAKESHIFT MUSIC PRESENTS TWO WAY RADIO, THE LIGHTS, AND HOLLY COLE
This Thursday, Makeshift Music and the Gibson Lounge present a superb local lineup featuring Two Way Radio, The Lights and Holly Cole. Doors open at 8pm, show time is 9pm. The cover is $5.
Formerly known as Walkie Talkie, Two Way Radio's sound has been described as "Blending lush Brian Wilson-ish pop with the bossa-nova beat and dreamy female vocals of Os Mutantes, these guys sound like nothing else in Memphis…" -Memphis Flyer 2005.
The Lights, consist of singer/guitarist Bret Krock-Preston, local producer and sound engineer Kevin Cubbins on guitar, and the hardest working rhythm section in Memphis, John Argroves on drums and Mark Stuart on bass.
Holly Cole has been compared to Cat Power, Rilo Kiley and Aimee Mann.

July 27th - Makeshift Music presents Rock for Love – A Benefit Concert for the Church Health Center. Tickets are $8 in advance or $10 on the day of the show.
