The Third Annual Highland-Walker Spring Fest

Mark your calendar to attend and participate as a sponsor of the Third Annual Highland-Walker Spring Fest. The festival will take place April 21, 2007 along Walker Street from Highland to Brister, and along the Highland Strip. The primary host of the festival is the University District Business Alliance. The UDBA hosts this festival annually to bring together the University District businesses, the community and local artists.

A primary goal of the festival is not only the music and the fun, but to share information with the community about the new and exciting developments for our neighborhood . As a potential sponsor, we are asking you to make a commitment to this blossoming area. The proceeds of the festival are used to underwrite UDBA Festival expense and will be used to award Neighborhood Redevelopment Grants in support of community revitalization projects.

Join us in our efforts to brand the University District as a smart place to live, work, learn and invest. The city is looking to this area as an Educational Corridor for Memphis. Local businesses have invested over 111 million dollars in redevelopment. The University District Business Alliance is working hard to raise awareness of this area as a "smart district". An integral part of this branding effort is the Highland-Walker Spring Fest.
