Alive in Baghdad

A series of humorous videos will simultaneously hit the front pages of a number of top viral videos sites last week, which just so happened to be the fourth anniversary of the Invasion of Iraq.

Why time the release of humorous viral videos to such a serious event in history?

The videos come from the Friends of Alive In Baghdad (Friends of AIB www.friendsofaib.com) and were made to encourage people to donate their old computer and video equipment to Alive In Baghdad, a weekly video blog that gives reports the occupation of Iraq from the voices who matter most: actual Iraqis living in Iraq.

The Friends of AIB have created a hilarious series of videos which encourage people to donate their video equipment to the Alive in Baghdad initiative.

These videos simultaneously hit the front pages of Veoh, Revver, Blip, Livevideo, Stupidvideos, ThisJustIn, NextNewNetworks, MSN Soapbox, and AOL, and were featured by You Tube iTunes and MySpace Video. The clips feature talent from the wildly popular site "Ask A Ninja."

You can see all of these videos at the Friends of AIB Veoh channel (http://www.veoh.com/users/FriendsofAIB)

About Alive in Baghdad:

Alive in Baghdad was formed to counter the sound-bite driven, "Live From" news model. Through the work of a team of Americans and Iraqi correspondents on the ground, Alive in Baghdad shows the occupation through the voices of Iraqis. Alive in Baghdad brings testimonies from individual Iraqis, footage of daily life in Iraq, and short news segments from Iraq to you.

Various videos are available at the video blog site (www.aliveinbaghdad.com)
