What The Hell has Been Going On

Ok - first of all - I am a dumbass...

and a fuck-up.

That's pretty clear. But if you would like to know the real reason I haven't posted anything worthwhile, well, one of the real reasons among many, it's becasue my internet at home hasn't worked in about 3 months. Why? Well, after calling Comcast at least three times, spending hours talking to techs and missing three tech appointments at my house - one I forgot about, one I slept through and one they never showed, I finally got down on my hand and knees tonight and took everything apart and replaced the ethernet cable. Voila!

I actually had a feeling that it would be something really simple, but just like the closet you're gonna get around to cleaning out, or the laundry that just keeps piling up, or how you keep telling yourself you really, really need to back-up everything on your PC and never quite find the time to so it, well, like I said, it's been three months.

And for all five of you still hangin' around here with the dustbunnies, you might find it hard to believe, but I find it very hard to blog from anywhere except this desktop computer, even though I also have two laptops and a pc at work. I don't know why, I'm just weird.

Anyway, if you're still around and interested, you are in for quite a treat as I plan to transcribe as accurately as possible my upcoming descent into the gutter.

I quit my day job. I think I just got insurance yesterday. Ha!

But, as you might have also noticed, I certainly wasn't writing anything while I was working it. I was drowning in a sea of oblivian. I'm not hatin' on 9 to 5'ers - it just is not the life for me. I can not function before 11, I just can't, even when I went to bed by 10 PM a lot of nights. Just ask Joel and Dan at the Hitone - they have barely seen me in the last three months, same with my other favorite watering holes. I've been good, I've tried, I did the best I could.

So, here I sit jobless - like totally.

My main goal is to get back on top of my websites and start actually writing them again. Then there's this SXSW party I've gotten myself involved with. I'll talk about that more later. That's too overwhelming to talk about right now. Ow. My head hurts even thinking about it.

Anyway - that's my story. I tried to lead a civilian life, but if that's all there is - then beam me up Scotty!
